NOTE: Optimizing your PC won't FIX Heavy Car Bug/Glitch
Hello, now there is a right and wrong fix for the so called ”Heavy Car Bug/Glitch”.
I will be presenting solutions for this problem, but there is also one thing I would like to mention while we are at the topic. This problem isn’t bound with Psyonix / Rocket League but its extremely easy to notice this problem while playing this game, since Rocket League allows such fast inputs in terms of many other games there will be no hestiation that this fix would also lead to better performance in any other game overall.
You will need to do a deep deep dive into electricity (be aware NOT RECOMMENDED for: unexperienced people).
Please consult with your nearest electrician or someone who has enough knowlegde to re-wire cables in your house/appartment.
You will need an EMF/EMI Meter that can listen to noises from the outlets. And you would want to find out how much noises there is on the current base, there is usually a lot in these. Its pretty normal to see values of 300-600 mV. If you want to be able to reach the requierdment for ”NO INPUT LAG” you would wanna have as low as 49-50 mV from one single outlet were your PC/Router/Hub/Switch are loctated.(UPS’s doesn’t fix this, online, inter-active, battery.)
There are some hardwares on the market that might be able to help you get lower input lag but not ”fixing it”. Some examples are:
No UPS’s / Online, Inter-Active, Battery
Tho it should be noticed!
Furman products can cancel the noise comming from the outlets by X amounts and most likely would let you have a way better experienced so it could for sure be worth purchasing. It may even reduce the problem up to 50-80%.
I would instead go by something like Greenwave’s Dirty Electricity Filter
Since the chance of getting the outlets cleared its more likely to be successful. I personally had over 960 mV’s in my outlets before I bought myself the Furman M-10x E, after that the noises were reduced by ~300 mV’s and then I bought 2x pair of those Greenwave’s Dirty Electricity Filter and I landed around 49-50 mV’s on the outlets and ever since that all games, especially Rocket League has been working flawless and there is none input lag what so ever
